Terms of Service

يُقدَّم هذا المستند باللغة الإنجليزية؛ والنسخة الإنجليزية هي النص الملزم قانونيًا.
1. Service Overview
TeachPen is desktop screen annotation software that lets users draw directly over their screen. TeachPen is provided by CodeCohort Inc.
2. License
TeachPen is licensed, not sold. You receive a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the software. Basic and other free features remain free permanently. The personal Pro products currently offered to the public are a monthly subscription and a non-expiring lifetime license. New personal annual subscriptions are not sold, while legacy personal annual subscriptions remain supported for compatibility. Institution licenses are offered through annual per-seat quotes.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Limited), the Merchant of Record. When you purchase TeachPen, Paddle's buyer terms also apply. Receipts and invoices are issued by Paddle. Personal monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time before the next renewal. After cancellation, Pro remains available through the end of the current paid period, then the app returns to Basic.
4. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy. The first monthly payment and a lifetime purchase are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of payment. Monthly renewal payments are non-refundable. If applicable law provides more favorable rights, those statutory rights take priority.
5. License Activation
TeachPen activates your license with the email address used at purchase and a 6-digit code sent to that address. No sign-up with a username and password is required. A personal license may be active on two devices across Windows and macOS. Activating a third device automatically deactivates the least recently used device. License enforcement is soft: a temporary network error or activation-server outage alone will not lock you out. Pro access ends only when (1) a refund is processed, (2) the paid period for a monthly or legacy annual subscription ends, (3) the device is deactivated, or (4) the app stays offline for more than 7 days after its last successful validation - Pro is restored as soon as you are back online.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not reverse engineer TeachPen, create cracks or bypass tools, or redistribute license keys, installers, or paid features without authorization. You may not use the service in a way that violates applicable law or these terms.
7. If the Service Ends
If TeachPen is discontinued, we will use reasonable efforts to distribute an offline build that continues to work permanently without the activation server.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes relating to TeachPen or these terms will be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.
9. Disclaimer
TeachPen is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, and error-free operation.
