1. Service Overview

TeachPen is desktop screen annotation software that lets users draw directly over their screen. TeachPen is provided by CodeCohort Inc.

2. License

TeachPen is licensed, not sold. You receive a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the software. Free features remain free permanently, while Pro features require a paid license or subscription.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Limited), the Merchant of Record. When you purchase TeachPen, Paddle's buyer terms also apply. Receipts and invoices are issued by Paddle.

4. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy. In summary, we provide a full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason.

5. License Activation

TeachPen activates your license using the email address used at purchase, without requiring an account or password. License enforcement is soft: a temporary network error or activation-server outage alone will not lock you out. Pro access ends only when (1) a cancellation or refund is processed, (2) an annual subscription expires, (3) you deactivate that device, or (4) the app stays offline for more than 7 days after its last successful validation - Pro is restored as soon as you are back online.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not reverse engineer TeachPen, create cracks or bypass tools, or redistribute license keys, installers, or paid features without authorization. You may not use the service in a way that violates applicable law or these terms.

7. If the Service Ends

If TeachPen is discontinued, we will use reasonable efforts to distribute an offline build that continues to work permanently without the activation server.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes relating to TeachPen or these terms will be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.

9. Disclaimer

TeachPen is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, and error-free operation.
